Hey guys,

I have 2 Issues with my Lancer that I would like to try to figure out , so I can take it to the dealer while its still under 60K and have it fixed for free I'm at 59k now...

1. Occasionally (has only happened twice) when driving with the A/C on my idle will be changing every five seconds from 1k RPM to 1.5K RPM .... Also I know the compressor kicks on and off, but my idle is usually like 600RPM and both times this has happened the car was warmed up...

2. I also have a rattle/ clicking noise in the dash that seems to only happen while in certain RPM ranges.. I think its something with the cable that drives the tach? Maybe...

my AC does things similar to that... and the noise... the interior of our cars make a ton of noise.

 

The revving is just the car turning on and off the AC condenser. The squeaks are normal, every lancer I know of has various noises at different RPMs. By the time I got rid of my lancer I had like 4 or 5 noises, I could tell what RPM I was at just by what was rattling.

+1 on that. the lancer is a pretty noisy car, even more so when you start modding it. Random clicks and squeaks are expected.

 

hahaha alright, thanks... Thats kind of disappointing, but I guess it only was 15K new so I guess thats to be expected....
