Possible Electrical Problem
Possible Electrical Problem
Hey guys,
I have a little problem with 2004 Lancer ES (everything is pretty much stock), anyway, recently I have noticed that when the engine is running and I turn on the headlights, every time I, for example, press the central lock/unlock button or turn on/off the rear window defroster, all my lights (headlights/interior lights) dim for like a split millisecond when I press either button. Also my CD player (stock) recently couldn't play a CD, the LCD screen was like going crazy, it was blinking (on/off), I turned the radio off for few minutes then on and the problem went away (it definitely didn't look like a dirty CD as usually the CD player just skips or doesn't play the CD but the LCD screen is always on).
Anyway, I am concerned as I think it might be the beginnings of some electrical problem. I am wondering if anyone noticed the same happenings and what was the cause/possible resolution to this?

I just took my Evo in to fix it. The problem is a connector at the drivers side kick panel gets corroded due to water intrusion from outside. Im hoping they fix it since i have a lot of gauges and turbo timer.
