Mine are holding up fine so far (although I only have about 6k on them), but the right front still makes an annoying creek from time to time, Some days it's noisy, some days it's not.

Could have been an installation FUBAR to account for it perhaps.

Yah, it does seem like you got the sour apple on this case.

That is true, it could be an installation error. I know someone on this forums (who shall remain anonymous) who had his put on by some well known shop that is now out of business (still anonymous) and didn't compress the spring enough and when the shock fully extended the spring fell off the perch an scraped the $h*t out of his shock and the inside fender! Although I'm not sure how anything like that could result in a blown shock, especially since this guy heard it when it happened. So my bet is still on defective merchandise.

and just for the record, that person isn't me and I believe the shop went out of business (just before I bought something from them, too )

Yeah, they're out of business.

The tubes on the Teins are actually quite thick. Despite a lot of scraping, his shocks still held pressure just fine and had NO leakage. I don't know about the cause, but good luck either way.

And despite the grammar being iffy, the spelling was right on point, shaggy.

too bad the body and the boot squeak... or at least that's my suspension guy's guess for my right front squeak. They function perfectly though, and the noise is barely noticeable... with the radio on or the windows down
