I just called Mitsubishi Motors USA at 1-800-MITSU2008 I spoke with Monet (Monay). Mistu is aware of this issue. There seems to be a lot of infighting from Mitsu and Sirius on this issue on who is to blame for this issue.

Monet asked me to disconnect the battery to reset the car. I don't think that this will work but I will give it a shot and report back.

Count me in as having issue too. People on the Outlander forums are reporting this issue as well (07 and 08 outlanders). Some have reported fixes by pulling the fuse. I will try that tonight, too.

I removed the #7 fuse and it works for about 5 minutes.
Then "UPDATING" came back and I got the SAT ERROR message again.

I got the error again after pulling the fuse last night.

I am bringing my lancer in the dealership at 4:30 today. They said they have way to fix it. I will update if the dealership fix works.

I pulled the + battery cable for 5 mins. Sirius came back on. I'll report back if I lose it again.

BTW the bolt on the battery is a 10 MM.

I pulled the fuse when I got home today and as soon as I turned on the radio, I got an UPDATING message, but then everything worked fine. I'll post back if it stops working.

I got the same problem as everybody else. I just disconnected the battery for 5 minutes and then tried it again. It came back for 5 minutes then cut out again. :-(

Tonight after I came home from work,..
1) popped the hood
2) removed fuse cover
3)pulled handy dandy fuse puller tool
4)pulled fuse#7 10 amp
5) was curious about it and turned on radio to see what'd happen.. SAT ERROR
6)waited 1 minute and then reinserted fuse#7
7)closed fuse cover and shut the hood.
8)excitedly turn on ignition and................... SAT ERROR..

I just pulled the #7 fuse for like 30 seconds. Then put it back in. Started the radio up and it is going strong now. So it seems like this fix worked. Hopefully it holds up for the drive to work tomorrow...

With ignition key OFF, pull fuse #7 under dashboard. Wait about a minute or so, then put it back in and turn key back ON.
