Hey guys my damn brakes are squeeking! I got a job as an aprentice at the mitsubishi dealer so I am going to check it out there when I get there but do you guys have any idea on what it might be? Thanks!

 

Worn pads? Most common answer by far. (Either that or you drive a Volvo Lancer...I swear older Volvo brakes squeek no matter what condition they're in).

 

well mine were squeaking... so i tried a lot of things... and i got one of those spray break cleaners... i took off my rim and sprayed it on... squeak is gone... hope that helps

 

Dirty/dusty discs. Another common reason. Can't believe I didn't mention it. Anyway...it shouldn't be anything to be concerned about, ryland. At least...not so long as you're still slowing down/stopping when you step on em.

 

Thanks man I work at the lube an we use that break cleaner all the freeking time to clean off anything. good idea I will just use some next time I work but I got to get it up on the block to get my rim off.
