serpentine belt.
It goes around pretty much every single pully that's on the left side of your engine when you look at it standing in front of your car.

Look at the belt and check if it does need to be changed or not.
Check if it's cracked or about to snap or whatever
Your belt could still be good and it may just need an ajustement. It could currently be too tight, or too loose. Play with the alternator tensioner bolt to loosen, or tighten.

if it was recently changed you may have to adjust the tension on it a little because the belt will stretch a little bit as it gets "broken in"

It may also do that if you're accelerating in a higher gear.

You know mine is doing that same exact thing, at first I thought it was coming from the alternator as I had the voltage checked and it was getting low voltage, so I changed out the alternator.. noise still there. Well my car battery is drained after sitting for about 4 hours, have had everything tested good battery etc... went far as swapping the battery in it for another as I have had bad batteries show good. Wonder if the belt could be affecting the charging of battery? Have/did you have any problems with your car not getting the juice it needs? Have you noticed anything else along with this?
