Has anyone had any probs with the leather supposedly "fading"?
Its as if the top coat of the leather surface has torn or ripped off...seems a defect to me.
Another 09 GTS owner has the same problem, and in the SAME spot...if u were sitting in the seat looking out the front, it would be on your left hand side, along near where the back portion meets the bum portion of the seat...

 

I bought my 09 GTS at the end of July so almost a year now. My leather is still in great shape. I make sure that when I wash my car and clean the interior every weekend that I use the leather wipes to clean it then I rub the leather protectant and conditioning cream on it.

 

This is the defect...

 

That shouldn't be happening in a one year old car. I would go to the dealer to see if the bumper-bumper warranty covers that. Looks like a defect not wear and tear.

Yep I would say defect as well..not wear and tear!
I had the rock stone chipping road rash defect paint thingy on the rear dog legs too..they actually did something about..that 3M clear tape ****! lol

How would u describe the leather defect...flaking leather? or?
My mom seemed to think that it may be real leather on the butt part of the seat, and possibly just vinyl on that portion (where it hugs ur back)...

who knows...
When u take the S & S pkg with the GTS (09 year for sure)...Leather seats are part of the S & S pkg in canada....i dont think they are in that pkg in the US.
