Parklights not working?

Parklights not working?
2004 lancer ES
at first i thought i just had a burnt out tail light on my passenger side but i replaced the light bulb and it still doesn;t work properly. when i put my car in park with the headlights on, the driver side tail light is on but the passenger side is off. however, when i break, both lights turn on.
I also seem to be having the same problem in my pasenger side headlight, where the park light on my driverside is lit up when i have my headlights on, but the passenger side isn;t, even though i replaced the bulb with a new one.
anyone know whats going on here?
