Cruise Control

ok so my cruise quit working on me ... when i push the on off button the light on the dash still comes on but i cant actually set the car to cruise.... any advice?

it would be in a fuse box. idk which one it is if it the one under the hood or the one in the car, but the manual should have a diagram of whats what and what goes where.

i dont have the service manual or the owners manual and the diagram inside the box lid is utterly fu****g useless

i know a guy senate6268 has a pdf manual on here for dowload if that helps

Have you checked the vacuum line on the throttle body?

if its something that simple i am gonna be pissed..... do you think that might cause a slightly irregular idle as well

ya it could since our cars are a MAF car so any unmetered air make our cars freak out.

My cruise control quick working on me for a while. I had hole in one of the lines. I replaced them and used zipties, it works great now. My vacuum line has popped off a couple times and made my idle weird.

i appreciate all the help guys i was think my exhaust setup was causing it but the after hearing a bad vacuum line could mess up the cruise i thought why not

well i dont know if the vacuum line is the problem cuz i havent seen my car in four months seeing as how i am in iraq my dad takes care of it for me and i havent been able to get ahold of him for awhile cuz he is pretty busy.... but i will let you know as soon as i can get him to look at it

You didn't put LED taillights in by chance? I tried them a few years ago and they caused my brake lights to stay on all the time which inhibited the cruise. Anybody have a fix for that, btw?

I wired in LED tails in my car and don't have any problems. Did not get dual brightness LED's? I know if you use running light LEDs like for trailers they'll stay on all the time because they don't have another level of brightness, making them appear stuck on.
