it is most likely the sway bar bushings. I just got used to it. You can take the bushings apart and spray some silicone spray inside the rubber bushings, but after a while the rain will wash it out and it will come back. If you can find some neoprene bushings, that might take care of it.

my last car, 2004 ralliart, used to make a squeeking sound in the rear bushings. I brought it to mitsu and they replaced them because there was an issue with the bushings and the salt I think... It was 5 years ago, so I can't remember the exact reason.

I have an 08 GTS and I have had a "squeaking" noise for well over a year now. Sounds almost like a bird chirping under the hood, but it mainly happens after the engine is warmed up from driving a while (20 min +). I have had the dealership look at it several times with no real diagnosis. The latest trip in they said it was caused by my aftermarket Magnaflow exhaust... which is only axle-back so I don't see that being the issue. They said it was because when they push on the pipe right behind the front passenger tire the noise stops... I am getting pissed that they can't find it and just start blaming the only real aftermarket part on the damn car.

s84kam... is there a sway bar at the front or was it in the rear of the car? Sorry I don't know much about this stuff... lol

Bump.
I just recently bought a 08 Lancer and i am now currently hearing the squeaking noise over every bump. So is the whole sway bar? Is it loose?

sorry byproduct of the cold I mean.

Suspension parts in extreme cold will cause strange sounds. Since our suspension (springs specifically) are super stiff, they generally will not even warm up with driving use (travel) so when you go over a big bump, you hear something that sounds even worse then a squeeking bed.

Spring and Summer I dont hear it but when a cold snap hits here , its ultra common

thats my take on it. but i dont think an exhaust would cause that kind of sound.

polyurethane (sp?) bushing will be your best bet for this. Or spray silicone spay inside the bushings, but this won't fix it forever.

i hit a small curb one time at night when i was looking for my friend....ever since then when the front end dips or raises ( going over a speed bump or on a drain dip) i hear a squeak on the front right tire. I hit the curb pretty hard...does anyone have any ideas what it can be

( i hit curb head on, part of a road tht had a raised portion for some reason)
