Sputters like what?

Alot of different things can cause it to hesitate. Is the car stock? Auto/Manual? Mileage? any recent repairs? Maintenance been done as needeD?

Start simple. Check/change your plugs, make sure you have no vacuum leaks, check/replace your coils, check/replace your plug wires, reset you ECU.

As Said by "SENATE" Check the plugs and coils to start. Make sure the intake is sealed properly and you have no leaks. Basically go around and do some TLC. If the plugs are bad that could be your problem look into getting some Iridium or somthing a bit better then OEM. Make sure the coils aren't bad. There good for somtimes going around 90k so.

And if you havent done an oil/tranny change recently i'd look into that. Full synthetic for both causes less friction between moving parts. And synthetics are always cleaning so good for clearing up some of the gunk.

Try to get some MAF cleaner and clean that sensor. They now have SeaFoam Intake cleaner. Its actually made to go in Vacum lines and spray into the intake manifold to clean it better then the other stuff. But don't get any of it on your MAF sensor.. its bad.

Give that a shot... what gas you run? I've noticed the car runs crappy on the anything but Mid to high octane IMO. I have some gas stations around here that sell 98-110 octane its like 9$ a gallon. Good for adding a gallon or so to 91-Octane. Works better then most Fuel System cleaners i've used.

Well i hope this helps. I'm not sure what your Maintenance schedule looks like but maybe the car just needs a little tune-up.

If not... you might be looking at a fuel-pump, or injectors problems. Clutch is glazed? But i'm sure you'd know if that was the problem. Again i hope its not anything major.

Good Luck

I had the same thing, it could be anything really injectors, air filter, fuel pump, etc...

Just do the basics, mine does it sometimes but not as bad as use to and im thinking its the fuel pump or the injectors, but im about to change those out anyways so I dont care because im going turbo next week hopefully if money allows.

But do this use a higher grade of fuel, mid grade not that 87 crap, use fuel cleaner or injector cleaner, make sure your filter is clean, thats pretty much all I can say, im replacing everything on mine but if your staying stock just do thos things and you should be good. let me know how it goes
