hello ihave sqeak noise coming from the alternator belt area. every time i get a car wash or it rains or i jump start my bros car or if its cold in the morning it sqeaks. i know the water or cold has something to do with it but do you think i might need to get ready to change those belts and if so are they ratherly cheap to get fix to do it myself? i drive an 2003 mitsubishi lancer oz. thanks in advance.

 

Yep, sounds like you need some new belts. They are very easy to replace. Download a copy of the Lancer factory service manual in the troubleshooting threads to help out. The link is in my signature.
