Is there a certin point, like when you get to 30k miles that your service engine soon light comes on?

take ti to autozone and they'll tell you what code it is.

or you can disconnect the neg (-) terminal of the battery for 3 seconds... and it will clear it. thats what i do for mine, i get them all the time for "over boost"

yah..my CEL light just came on recently after i put back on the catalytic converter...?? but it was off with test pipe and headers.....any ideas?

 

The reason it comes on blacklancer2k2 is becuase without the original first cat in the exhaust manifold it doesn't cool down the exhaust fast enough. The computer sees this as the cat not doing its job (like its burned out) this is because the readings from the first O2 sensor to the second are to close. Mine comes on after about 2500 miles (test pipe and header). When putting back the second cat you cause the heat to stay buy the O2 sensor and it will come on quicker. You can get a MIL eliminator to shut it off which lowers the voltage coming from the second O2 for about $20, or just reset your comp when it comes on. Or just deal with it.

 

could you relocate the sensor further back inorder to allow the gasses to cool down more?

my cell came on today and now its stalling i have 30500 miles

 

take it to the dealer still waranteed untill 36K

 

take out the bulb, who needs a check engine light?

 

Might need a new CEL censor. I had to have the censor replaced at like 25k miles.
