04 Lancer ES Timing Belt Help!

Have a few questions with no answers hoping to get some help here i need it really bad!

1.If the timing belt jumped does the engine have enough clearance not to slap a valve?

2.Also I set the piston on the far left side to TDC when i was installing new timing belt, is that the first piston or the fourth?

3.On the cam gear there was one dot on the side of the mounting bolt hole of the gear is this the timing mark for the cam?

4.If im 180 off how can i fix this with damaging anything?

5.What should the compression be if i check the cylinders?

All input welcome and needed going to try and tackle the beast first thing in the morning or when ever i get enough info on whats wrong. This would have been a lot easier if the old belt never jumped but life goes on just a lot slower without a car.
Thanks in advance for your help and advice!

1.If the timing belt jumped does the engine have enough clearance not to slap a valve? No this is an interference engine it will very likely hit

2.Also I set the piston on the far left side to TDC when i was installing new timing belt, is that the first piston or the fourth? The cylinder closest to the timing belt is #1 which should be at TDC

3.On the cam gear there was one dot on the side of the mounting bolt hole of the gear is this the timing mark for the cam? There is a dash on the outside edge of the cam gear and a little pointer cast on the head itself you line it up with

4.If im 180 off how can i fix this with damaging anything? If your 180 off you have either already done the damage, or you can spin the crank by hand WITH THE SPARK PLUGS OUT. This lets you feel for any resistance and can move the cam if needed to continue

5.What should the compression be if i check the cylinders?Should be at least in the 170 range
