I need help with diagnosing a problem. My car went haywire when trying to flash and completely locked me out and engine sounds like it starts but then shuts down. is it possible the etax box is fried?

 

So your ECU freaked out during a flash? Have you tried to reflash the same ROM back onto it? Also, not a good idea to try and run your car after a non successful flash.

 

Engine sounds like it starts? What does that mean?

Does it start or not?

Did you change your immobilizer code over to the new flash?

 

Yes. and we tried to reflash and it still was lockin us out. and when i say my engine sounds like it starts, that means that sometimes the engine starts and then shuts down. sometimes the fuel pump will go on but engine wont go. overall my car is pretty much shut down completely. could it be because the plug used with the 9 rod in it?
