Damn engine problems.

hey guys, well ive had my first pain in the *** today, let me tell the story, every day before i go to work i start my car and let it warm up, i started my car and i heard a strange rattle comming from under the hood, so not being in a hurry for work i decided to check it out, i opened the hood, the sound is gone, but heres where it gets messed up, i put it in gear and i proceed to the freeway (its like 50 ft from my house), i get on the freeway and im driving, so i turn the a/c on and all ofg a sudden POP from the engine bay, *$&*^, what was that, i lost my a/c and my power steering, so i pulled over to a gas station, and poped the hood, crap my a/c - p/s belt broke and 2 pullies are damaged, crap crap crap
so im like 45 min from the nearest dealer

so i start heading there, (the car was ok to drive considering the belt had no vital importance, like water pump belt or the ALT belt) so i drive to the dealer, they check it out, the main mechanic immeadly says it was my after market car alarm, i promptly tell him its not, there no wires that go thru the fire wall for my alarm, so we bring another lancer and take a look, yup theres a black/yellow grounding wire that is less than an inch between the wire and the pulley, i know the people at the dealer, they help me with my questions and help me get some parts i request, so they help me out and decide to cover it under warranty, woohoo!
so now its getting fixed, susposedly its going to cost around 600+ to fix, thank god for the warranty!
but anyways, im lancerless for the next week, im so sad
but a friend of mine there offered my a rental car, so i said ok, the only car left was a geo metro, i said hell no, my friend spoke with his boss, and they rented me a brand new 2002 Montereo 4x4 sport limited, fully loaded, soo &^%ing sweet, but i still miss my lancer
oh well im just ranting

Driving home yesterday from work, evertime I made I right turn I would hear a swooshing sound, it was driving me nuts I couldn't figure where it was coming from. Suddenly i made a sharp right and from the bottom of the passenger side gushes of water began getting in the car. I was flipping out...I'm still flipping out, I don't know what it could be, and now also when I turn the AC on i get a funky smell coming from the vents....can anyone help me??? Does anyone have any idea what this could be????

Is it possible that your window's weatherstripping isn't in tight or that water somehow got into your door?

I am not sure on lancers, but i know on other cars that when the heater core goes bad, antifreeze and water, your cars coolant can end up inside the passengers compartment. That would also explain the funky smell, but i don't know, your car is new, could it go bad that quick?

Murphy's law.

Make it bone stock and take it to the dealership. Play dumb. Best repair tactic EVER.

I live by that law. Dealers will do anything to say "oh hey its not our fault"....it could be the dumbest thing, but it all comes down to them being lazy.
