Question Safe to switch back conventional motor oil?

I got some synthetic oil last time i did and oil change because i could get it for the same price as conventional and after about 1,500 miles my car started misfiring everynow and then. But the problem has gotton alot worse and i just checked and apparenlty ive lost ALOT of the oil. After doing some research i fould that synthetic oil may cause leaking due to the way it acts with the gaskets. My question is this. Is it safe to switch back after only 2,000 miles or should I just keep going with synthetic (plus maybe a stop leak additive)?
Thank you for any help!

your fine to go back to conventional oil. its lack of oil thats gonna kill you not whether it be synthetic or conventional. if your misfiring change your plugs and wires as well as the boots on the coil packs. that will be a better start to fix that. also run ngk plugs, they will be better for the car than the autolite or champion counterparts.

had a misfire the other day, changed all the plugs out and got some fresh new ngk plugs and it stopped the misfires now, hopefully it'll stay that way for a while. =D
