Hi. Bought my GTS new in 09. Went through New England winter fine in 2009/10 (but mostly used my Pathfinder).

Late winter of 2010/11 however I noticed that the quarter panel seams are coming apart at all four corners.

The car has been babied and never had a an accident of any kind. I haven't even gotten a speeding ticket in over 10 years. The car has almost 30k miles.

This is troublesome. Has anyone had similar issues? This alone makes me not want to buy another Mitsubishi product.

 

what corner panels are you talking about? a photo would be nice

 

Ok, I'll take some and post within a couple of days.

 

I had my bumper pop out where it meets the front quarter panel a couple months ago. At first, I thought someone dented my car and didn't leave a note. After looking at it, I just decided to pop it back in and it's been fine since. It took quite a bit of effort so don't feel like you're pushing too hard of you try to pop it back in.

Believe me, I was quite upset when I first saw it.

 

Yeah, that's where it is. It's where the bumper attaches to the body panel. The seam is coming apart on both the front and the back bumper.

 

I have the same issue....and you can see the plastic clips right....right next to the headlight? I tried pushing it in but I guess I didn't push hard enough. I'll have to try again today.

 

Yep. That's what I'm going through. I noticed it between 15-20k miles. I just took some pictures and will post them.
