does anybody know the warranty for used 08 lancers??? i bought mine used, and i was wondering if it is still considered warranty covered... i got like 39k miles now, and i need to get the cruise control fixed... if that's even covered by warranty.

 

call your local dealership, dont mention anything about buying used, just tell them your vin and see what they say.


also any chance u installed LED tail lights ? or led bulbs into your tail lights ?

The reason why he is asking about LED's on the car is because cruise control sometimes tied in with other electrical subsystems and lighting. So if you use LED "uses almost no power" it can mess up / disable your cruise control. There are fixes available for that if you have LED.

Beware, if you have something like that on your car, and the dealer finds it, you may pay for them fixing it and looking around.

 

yeah i replaced all my tail light bulbs with led lights... danggg i didnt know that could cause problems with cruise control.... do all led taillights cause this problem? cuz i was thinking about changing the entire taillights with led console.

 

yea i hear it messes with the nav and cruise control. hopefully that wasnt an issue with your car!

 

If i change the bulbs to regular halogen bulbs, will the cruise control function normally again? i threw out my old bulbs after changing them to led bulbs... and does anybody know what the warranty is for second owners?
