Unhappy Cruise Control

Hey guys I have been a lurker at this forum for some time. My Cruise Control went out yesterday made a couple of clicking noises and then did not engage. Checked the fuses and they were good does any one have any suggestions. Oh yeah it is a 2002 OZ with 18000 miles on it. I am going to take it to the dealer but if it is an easy fix then I don't want to bother with the bastards. Thanks for your help.

I know less than nothing about CC, but if the car's stock just take it to the dealership so it doesn't cause any future problems...somehow.

...Like engaging and not disengaging. Happened to my father and damn near killed him. (Not in my car at least.)

cc

The car has 17 konig verdicts, eibach prokit springs, and a blue vaccum hose set, basically all poser items. I don't think that any of these would cause a problem with my cruise. Thanks
