Flash HBs w/o LBs?
How do i flash my high beams without turning on my non-stock HID Low Beam lights?
As i understand it - flashing the HIDs rapidly wears out the bulb (and/or ballast).
The LBs stay on when the HBs are on (a good thing) so i don't want to change that

Don't the lowbeams stay on when you flash the highbeams? Unless you do not have DRL's? If thats the case, you are looking at some major rewiring. I would be taking it to a shop, or unless you have the schematics and proper tools/knowledge then you can attempt it yourself.

Yes, the LBs stay on with high beams. But - with headlights off - when just flashing the HBs (to pass V6 Eclipses) the LBs come on as well.... This will reduce the life of the HODs i am told...

okay...
So what is the life reduction every time you momentarily flash the HIDs (vs. turn on and leave on for ten minutes)?
Ie.e 'how bad is it' to flash HIDs?

I couldn't tell you, but shortening the lifespan, is shortening the lifespan. Here in Canada some people if they want to pass a car that's already in the left lane, they put on their left signal.
If you just have the HID's running all the time, IE) DRL's, Then you would not have to worry about them blinking on and off.
