hahaha.....yeah it sucks, but there are threads on programming your computer for a stronger throttle response by restarting the car and other junk. Im sure someone with an auto will help you find it.

It's running rich during harsh acceleration, dumping tons of fuel and bogging a bit until the ECU can correct itself with proper air flow reading from the MAF. That's the norm of all auto.

I got the same problem, like most of us Lancer owners out there. I would floor it and nothing happens . It'll rev higher the longer u keep it in the gear, but when the pedal is floored.... it's _____________. IMO.

I put in a grounding kit and it improved it just a tad...but I guess we won't really notice anything till we get the piggyback chip from RRM. Either that we get a ralliart .

ya, the laners arent very fast and we should all konw that by now. But they get better. SOmething you can try for some better throttle response is the Intake Manifold and a Throtle body... im pretty sure those should help with throttle response.

lancer is slow. throttle response is greatly increased if you just get the intake and tb. i have the rrm tb, piggy back, header, and i have an intake and exhaust. basically i get a lot of air in and out as fast as that lil engine can. my exhaust is 2.5 alllll the way back. throttle response is good but not what your probably expecting. i punch it and the rpms jump up as it downshifts but there is still a slight lag. today i am reading that post about ground kits. i think i might make my own red one for 20 bucks. i will probably use 2 guage wire instead of 4. but anyways. the throttle response is crap because the engine doesn't rev that fast. if i turned my fpr up the response was crazy but because right now i am frustrated whit this piggy back ecu i put my stock fpr on. to be honest i am not seeing the HUGE gains i was told this piggy would give me. i have gone through 1 1/2 tanks of gas so far. i did notice the massive amount of miles i got per tank but not the amazing performance. i am gonna give it some time before i get mad or anything. so before i start drifting off track. get a fuel pressure regulator, they work wonders. our fpr is the same as a 94 honda civic. i know because thats what i used.
