2002 Lancer ES P0443 - Evap Purge Solenoid

Long time no chat, folks. I've been Googling my tail off trying to get the part number for my P0443 issue. I saw a lot of "hey, how do I fix this" but not a single clear answer.

I just ordered the following:

K5T48395 , K5T48288 or K5T48373 K5T8477, OEM # MR127519 , MR312382 , MR323893 from a website for about $30, as opposed to Mitsu's OEM $240+ order.

It's the solenoid that's on top of the engine, not the canister vent on the bottom of the firewall. Pics follow:

I'll keep you posted when it gets here, and see if it actually works to clear the P0443.

Sorry for bumping an old thread guys. I'm receiving the same p00043 code on my Lancer ES. I have emissions due at the end of the month. I would like to know if replacing the parts you listed on the original post fixed the issue or not. Thanks.

Thanks for the response. Is this the part number for the purge solenoid valve, MR507781?

why spend double if the EGR valve is still working? I highly doubt the purge solenoid is clogged, the only thing that goes through it is gasoline vapor...

Does anybody have an install guide? I haven't had to replace one of these before and wanted to ensure that I'll be doing it properly. I'm assuming that I'd just have to unbolt the solenoid, remove the vacuum lines, bolt the new solenoid on and place the existing vacuum lines back on? Any guidance would be appreciated.

that's all pretty much...remember any time you're unplugging sensors/wires etc. you should have the battery disconnected..

Thanks for the info. I have the new purge valve and I'll install it later and see how it goes.
