Antenna...

Damn it... I broke my motha trucka antenna from the base of it... I am guessing I need to replace the whole unit... including wat was on top of my car... I drive and 03 oz lancer... and I went into a car wash forgetting I had an antenna... I kno i KNO... i am stupid... but anyways... is there any way to fix that?

Could you describe it a little better? What condition is the antenna base in? Do you mean that part of the antenna is broken off and still in the base?

Well its like this... the antenna is fine but the base is not actually... the base is messed up so that the antenna wont fit. the frikken car wash broke off the base of the anntennas screw in thingy, n i am guessing i have to replace the entire base.

Can you grip the part that broke off with pliers and unscrew it? I'd guess not. Other than that, maybe have the dealership/shop see if they can salvage it.

well the thing is i kno i have to replace the entire antenna, so if their is ne way to do that, i guess i'ld fix it myself, if not, here i come dealer.

did you ever figure out how to replace the antenna base? the same thing happened to me in the carwash

they antenna itself is not broken but the base broke right below the screw threads so the antenna just hangs there now

yah go the the junkyard rip out the base of it from another lancer, and then go into ur car pop out the roof from the back and just replace. its simple

how do you rip it out...from the inside (backseat)? do you remove the head liner?

also do you by chance have a part #???

yeah this is gay, someone stole me damn antenna the day before and now i need a new one...does the s2000 antenna have perfect fitment? and i heard this was like only 10 bucks? is this true?
