Brake problem

Hello All, this is my first post. I have a 2008 Lancer GTS, My problem is that the brake peddle on my car goes half way down before it starts to stop. I have put new pads on and I have bleed the brakes, still no change. I can pump the peddle about 5-6 times and it gets hard but if you keep pressure on it, it will go down. The only other thing I can think of is the master cylinder or the power buster. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Check that your calipers are not frozen up. I had both front calipers on my Tundra freeze up and my pedal would go way down before actually doing any braking action. Felt like there was a bunch of air in them.

Master cylinder may be bypassing (internal leakage) the only way to test is to put plugs into the master cylinder outlet ports and then retest. If your pedal is still doing the same thing then you need a master cylinder.
