Unhappy Service Engine Soon Light.

ok heres the thing yesterday i turned on my car and randomly the SES light turned on. it wasnt on when i drove it 10 min before that. and my brakes are like almost gone its horrible at stopping. think the brakes are the problem for the check engine light? please help me out here. any input will be appreciated. thanks

The brake have nothing to do with this problem. What the last time you put gas on the car?? Did the attendant completely twist the gas cap to the point where it clicked??? It could be cause of that. If not, reset the ECU for a couple of minutes and reconnect.

^ what he said.. my SES light has been triggerred by a loose gas cap at least 3 times now.. just unplug the negative terminal of your battery for 10-15 minutes, reconnect, and let it idle
