2010 Lancer GTS starting issue
Hello All,
New to the forums but figured this would be a good place to look for help.
To start I’ve owned my 2010 Lancer GTS for about 8 months now. Got it with around 80500 miles on it. For about the past 2 months I’ve been having an issue where if the car sits for 2 days or more, it will struggle and not start and then begin to click because the battery is completely dead. After that when the battery is completely dead. The car won’t lock or unlock obviously and if I use the manual key to unlock the car, as soon as I jump it the alarm will set off
Things I’ve tried so far:
-Replace Battery
- Taken to a shop where Battery, Alternator and Stater were all tested and came back fine.
If I try to start it after letting it sit for about a day. Sometimes it doesn’t give an issue, sometimes it struggles but eventually kicks up and starts.
I’ve taken most of the aftermarket stuff out of it in hopes that if any of that stuff was still running while the car is off that might be draining it. The only thing I have left hooked up is the aftermarket subs in the trunk that I checked and made sure they turn off with the car. Also attached is an aftermarket remote start that I’m not sure how to remove if I wanted to, but I don’t imagine that is the issue.
Is there any known issues with this? Any place I should take it to or start looking myself. I’m not the best with working on cars myself but if someone knew and could walk me through something I’m sure I could do it.
Thanks in advance guys!
