cedia headlight wiring...(not what you think)
just have a quick question and want to see if anybody else has done this....i have the black cedia headlights and wired them up all dandy. theres 2 bulbs for lo/hi and one turns off when the other is on. but i decided to get yellow high beam bulbs to use sort of like a fog light. what i wanna do is have the low beams stay on when i switch the high beams on. i have tried wiring myself with no input from this site and i ended up blowing fuses! anybody have any ideas/experience with this, if so help a fellow lancer out!
this has nothing to do with your wiring, but i had a quick question. it may have been answered before somewhere else. but ive been gone for about the last 7 months (air force BMT & tech school) BUT, where did you get the headlights, and how much? much thanks. - ian

its not possible...i have tried every single way...because of the fact that you have to slpit the wiring that sends both hi and low...you could try to hook it up just like a regular fog light...that i havent tried yet...that may work...
you could have them on as long as you have a separate ground for them [talk to azyan about that.. i still havent wired my high beams up to this day and i've had mine for a while now]. you know how you have to pull the turn signal lever towards you in order for the high beams to come on? well dont you ever realize that on the stock headlights, even if you dont pull it until it clicks, the high beams will turn on? thats wut you're gonna have to do if u want both on at the same time. just hold the lever just as far back as you can before it clicks into the 'real' high beam position. hope that was clear enough. as for the separate ground, talk to azyan about that

the thing with what majestic said , is that both of the lights being on has nothing to do with the ground, it has to do with the signal/ switch coming from the lever, it will never send two signals out unless you yourself is holding the lever back but not in full high beam position
