Smoked Engine

I dont know if i should be worried or not about this little problem i had sometime ago. I was testing out the turbo i installed on my car. I just started out the parking lot and to the stop sighn it was about 400m down the road, so i goosed it a little bit up to it. Once there i seen my engine smoking. I shut off the engine immeditally and my buddy and i pused my car to the side. I pop the hood and low and behold. The oil return line came off the turbo. We put it back on and tightend it really good and i lost about 1 and half qt. to 2 qt. of oil. I filled the oil back up from oil cans i carry around in my car. Was there major damage to my engine. Like fried the piston rings a little maybe or somthing eles???

On another note after this i went out to drive to the do-it-yourself carwash to wash all the oil off my engine. Well the heat wrap caught fire. LOL i had a bad night.

It could have been a lot worse, you could have lost your entire car. Your car shouldn't have damange to it since there was still oil in the system. Get everything put back together, cleaned up, and drive it nicely for a few hundred miles and see if there are any strange noises or rattles. More likely than not your car is fine.
