Radio won't turn on

While installing an AUX cable and following the instructions found here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/la...mp3-cable.html the flat white flat strip that connects the hazard light bezel and the head unit slipped out of one of it's connected ends. After performing all of the necessary steps in order to complete the installation, I reinserted the flat strip and reconnected the plug to the hazard light unit and placed the head unit back into it's rightful position. When I cranked the car up and attempted to turn on the radio all I got was a blank display. Not even a beep for confirmation that the radio was on. So off came the head unit and I went back to work. I've toyed with this cable for 2 nights trying to gain a connection but I get nothing in return. I've also checked all of my other cable connections and they all seem to be in working order and correctly inserted. Also, despite all of that, the hazard switch is working just fine. So my only guess is that my big problem lies with this little nuisance of a flat strip. Does this sound about right? Could this be the cause of all of my probelms and if so, how difficult would it be to replace this. I've searched high and low for a replacement and I'm beginning to wonder if i'll need to just replace the Hazard bezel and see if a new strip comes with it.

Sorry for the wall of text and thanks for any help that you may have.

Have you put the car back to stock to see if it works? (unplugging the aux cable) The pins are very small in the ribbon connector, make sure none are bent. Talk to a mitsubishi parts person to get the cable if that is the failed part, don't just go ordering parts hoping something comes with it....also don't just throw parts at it until you can find the failure.

Check powers and grounds. fuse 30, also there is an accessory relay (#2)
