Will not rev when in gear

About 5 months ago, my wife and I bought an 08 GTS with 124k. It now has 132k. It was running and driving great until a few days ago when she had a fender bender. The hood, front bumper and drivers headlight were damaged, but the condenser and radiator seem unharmed. After the crash I tried to move the car, but it is limited to about 2200RPM. In park or neutral it revs up just fine. I get no CEL, and see no obvious signs of physical damage to any wires or sensors. Also, no sign of fluid leaks. I have spent hours upon hours searching the web, and have come up empty-handed. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you in Advance!

You should scan it for trouble codes. Maybe be a pending code.

Definitely a great idea, but I've ready tried, hoping to find something even without a service engine light on. My scanner reported no codes and said the MIL should be off. Thank you for the reply though!

I just wanted to give a quick update: This morning I wanted to determine if the speedometer was working, just to see if the output was communicating that far. Since it's raining, I figured I would jack up the front wheels to try it, while staying in the garage. I found the speedo is working and seems accurate. I also found it would rev up seemingly normal. I then dropped the car down to pull it out of the garage to see if it still acted the same. In the small area of blacktop I have, I got it to about 2500RPM and decided to try it out on the road. All seems back to normal now, but I couldn't tell you why it's now acting well, or what the malfunction was to begin with... Any input would still be appreciated.
