Depends... what company, and would this allow you to use the stock strut component without SEVERELY limiting the lifespan of the strut? Also, is this just of the LS/OZ boys, or the ES guys too?

WHat makes these better than the springs already available? Like Progress for $159 with 1.5 drop. Don't understand significance of Fast and Furious 2 and Skyline reference?
Same stuff?

streetlancer: obviously with any aftermarket lowering springs will short your factory struts lifespan. that's why the proper way to lower your car is to get both shock and springs or just a set of coilovers.

Raul: my pricing is just an estimate, also understand that the US lancer lacks of aftermarket support. If you look at the honda/acura world there are more than a couple of springs manufacturer... get my point? more variety = better pricing and products

Well.. for your information the company that's developing the lowering springs are the actual sponsor of the new FAST AND FURIOUS 2 Skyline's lowering springs... just a FYI.. why so hostile raul??

thanks!!

Because Raul is a big fan of RRM, and any competition to it usually incurs his hostility. I say the more diversity the better. It is customising, after all.

Reason I asked is that because usually a drop of less than 1.25" on some other cars don't decrease shock lifespan very much, if at all, from normal shock springs, of course depending on the spring rate itself. 1.5" on some other cars would cause the immeadiate need of new aftermarket shocks, which for the Lancer are very very limited. Understood?

Streetlancer.. we try very hard to bring variety and choices to the US lancer.. I will keep you updated on the specs.. because the springs are currently under testing..

thanks!!

Cool. As I asked before, though, will it be just for the OZ/LS boys or for us ES guys (Mirage) too?

I'm all about options, glad to see some competition.

Raul is just an enthusiastic customer not the hostile type. Don't mind him!

Rock, not meaning to contradict, but, he can come off as hostile occasionally, especially if anyone speaks ill of RRM, or even just better of an opposing company.

i like to see other companies start to make some more parts for the lancer. otherwise it would be very boring. for a couple reasons:

1. EVERYONE would have an "RRM edition Lancer". not exactly a 'customized' car.

2. There will be less places to look for replacements, meaning limited quantity, greater demand, higher prices.

3. With competition, companies will try and out-do each other to get customers. Therefor, more and higher quality parts will be made.

RRM hooked me up with a sway bar, and i love it! but i also like to see other companies bring some new products to market. keep it interesting!

advtechsport-any other news on products that you know of? coilovers perhaps?

The only coilover suspension that I seen is the Tein.. But I wouldn't be surprise to see other people making coilovers for the Lancer. I will keep researching, talking to product manufacturers and keeping everybody updated

cool. i know tein is a good product and lots of hondas have them. it is also a pretty good price for a matched set (around $1200). another set would be nice though

maybe some underdrive pulleys too......
