You got to cut it in order to fit the 04-05 Lancer, because the lower radiator hose is angled out an around a 45 degree angle towards the battery, and the only way for the AEM to fit is for it to drop down between the radiator hose and the tranny instead of just dropping straight down between the radiator hose and battery like on the 02-03 Lancers. So in order to do this you got to hack the intake and make it a bit shorter, believe me, I have one.

Hey Rock, how about that pic of the intake installed on your car? I would love to see how it drops down.

No, it's not just the hose, but the pump fitting the hose is attached to also, it is slanted towards the battery too.

Precisely, I think they did it on purpose to try to hose us modders, lucky for us we have folks like rrm that are willing to make stuff for us no matter what Mitsu does.
