Yes you are correct this group buy was started because of the guy in taiwan. Accolade saw the growing interest by the lancer community in his kit and was going to make this kit for 10 of us but I guess the interest fell off seems like no one wants to buy it any more.

 

I would be willing to buy it for sure. However, payment in advance doesnt seem like a truely viable option until accolade says we have 10 people now, please make the payments in full so we can start production. Interest in my opinion would fall if they said pay upfront before the list is full, as has happened twice so far where interest has dropped.

EDIT*** i noticed how the bumper sticks out rather far on the edges... can the stock fenders be used??

 

Another note... for those of us in canada.... we couldnt get evos because of the FMIC and the front crash bar... if this bumper is made... will it allow to leave the fron crash bar intact and unmodified? thanks!!!

Yes, he listed it as being for the 02 Lancer, which shares the same body as the 03. It will fit your car.

At the Moment We are not willing to Develop this Kit. This is a Older Version of The Lancer, So we cannot recover the Investment of Developing the Design for this.

As you know If we Develop it we need to Make Sure the Fitament / Easy Installation and US Legal Aspects of It, This cost lots of Money to Develop. We gave a Chance for people to come ahead and show intrest, but they everyone backed away.

So you are asking people to come in and put money toward a product that had not even been developed yet? Who would pay for something they've never seen. If it came out looking like nohing you thought it would, you are out a lot of money.

 

It looks like they are not even going to bother with it. Their loss. Lots of people were interested. Don't expect to sell hundreds when your asking $1200+ for paper parts.

 

it was about 800 for hood and bumper.. but that's not the point... they should see if there is interest in the summer. when ppl will probably have money given its far away from christmas!!!
