figure a 2" hole would suffice, maybe 3 or 4" long depending on the angle of the bar. I never thought about it, but Rob didn't have to worry about that with the drag lancer since it has no interior anymore I already have the holes for access to the dampening, so no worries for me. I plan on getting that strut bar soon, not too happy with the Freedom Design one that keeps making noises on me.

edit: yes Vince, I'm posting it up at school. I love technology classes: SED514 computers in education

i just got the one from procarparts from jaime, but would prefer this one bc it makes you not have to cut out such a huge hole, it looks a lot better, and its a single piece so would be stronger.

removing the liner is the best bet. I cut the liner when i had my Mirage and it looked like crap.

Now who the f*ck would be stupid enough to buy that procarparts bar?

It's obvious the RRM bar is superior. Man, just one foot on that crappy thing, too! And Rob's standing completely on his, and I don't see it flexing.

disclaimer: those huge holes in my trunk liner were needed for that other POS. the RRM one needs much smaller holes.

I may be mistaken, but aren't you in the process of designing a rear tie bar, like Shaggy mentioned, as well? I want solid red tubes with ///RRM stickers all over my Lancer!!!!

I have to disagree with you. Rob took 1 hand (one single and) and flexed that crappy bar about an inch in either direction while it was fastened securely to my car. And that was after I tightened it up as far as it would go.
