The tools you need are wrench, spring compressors, and you might need an air gun to remove the nut that holds strut together. I was able to get the nut off of three struts, but one I needed to take to pep boys and they were cool enough to do it free. I went to my dealer to see if they make a special tool for this job, and they said to try snap-on. I have eibach, and didn't need an alignment. As far as instructions, its pretty self explanatory. Remove wheel then strut from car, compress spring, remove, compress new spring, place on strut exactly as the stock ones were, put strut back on car.

spring compressr isnt needed - - i have them, but not installed yet (havent had the chance to) - - - and ROCK and GABE have told me that you dont need a spring compressor - - - and the only reason you might need an impact gun is if some of the bolts are too tight to get off by hand . . . . .

Let me clear it up. Progress doesn't need spring compressor, Eibachs do. When taking off stock springs it would be nice to hold spring with a compressor but when you loosen nut the spring does have some tension so be careful! Impact wrench is almost mandatory, not because nuts are tight but because you need to loosen nut and tighten nut on top of strut quickly. This will insure that the shock shaft won't spin when you turn the nut. YOU CANNOT SCRATCH THE SHAFT! DO NOT HOLD IT WITH PLIERS OR SOMETHING! Please!!!! If you don't have an impact take the struts out and take them to a gas station or something. If they are not busy and you bat your eyes just right they prolly let you use an impact or swap springs there and then go home and reinstall them. $20 bucks wouldn't hurt either!

Hey I just ordered the Shark Racing SRGT kit and I was wondering if adding these springs would make my car to low like would I be able to get over moderate speed bumps? and will I scrape on every last bump in the road becuase the front bumper from the kit says its an extra 1 inch lower than stock so should I go with the Eibachs?
