I like it cause it isn't as ugly as 5, 6, 7, series but i picked the evo over a 325/330 cause i figure this is my last chance to own a really cool car before i have to by a luxury car, though i might get a tl for my g-friend. The new 3 series is the perfect blend which is where the other bmw cars should've gone, at least you wont see grandma driving an evo!

I like it. But I'm not a luxury fan. The only Bimmers I'd ever own are an M-Coupe or an M3.....anything else they make is just dog-**** slow for the money. For my dollar I'd go E or C class Mercedes with the AMG goodies. Superchargers anyone????

It's on their website also. Looks like they went too conservative. The 7 looks like *** and the 3 looks to much like the old one. The 5 and 6 are the best looking of the new ones. The best looking BMW's ever in my opinion are the current M3, previous M5, and the X5 4.6is. Three years ago, their line up was stunning.

I thought the four doors are going to be the 4 series, and the two doors the 3 series? or is that not until MY2007

Actually you've got that reversed. The two-doors are going to be th 4 series and the four-doors are going to be the 3 series. But the M version will still be called an M3 due to the history of the name.

iDrive is an option, not mandatory.

If it was mandatory, the thread title would be "reviled" instead of "revealed".

Actually, they said that might not happen. They're might just all be 3-series. It was in CAR mag, and a few others, a couple months ago. BMW isn't sure if they want to have that many different model deignations. It would totally make sense, but I'm not sure if they're going to do it. I mean, it would be nice to have a.....

4-door 1-series and 2-door 2-series (coming soon sopposedly)
4-door 3-series and 2-door 4-series
4-door 5-series and 2-door 6-series
4-door 7-series and 2-door 8-series (also supposedly debuting in a year )

It would make sense, but I don't know it they're going that route.
