New Car for Me! :)

So guys, i just got a 97 toytoa camry. I know its not the fastest lil car around, but i like it just the same. Are there any major problems that i should be concious of? I know that they have a rep for sludge build up in the engine. But just wondering if there is any thing else. Thanks!

Those things are indestructible. My parents 1988 Camry has over 200,000 on it and it still runs fine. Looks like crap though.

yay good to hear. I love the thing. I just gave it a bath. I want to do something to it to make it look more "girly" although it is maroon.

this is funny cause i just got the exact same car. it has been in the familysince it was new, and has been babied (as far as oil changes, and service). thing is my mom commuted in it, so it has about 220k on the tackand the paint is chipped to hell. it has the v-6, and it is not a bad little car, plus mom and dad put new rubber on it for me before i bought it. i am happy with it. it is gray. funny. good luck with yours. shouldnt be any problems with it. my dad hss always been a honda guy until he bought this camry, and now he has another brand new one. it was good enough to swing his vote.

One good thing about those is the 4-cyl, at least, has a non interference motor. You can really slack on those timing belt changes if you are cheap/dont want to spend a bunch of matainance on a old car.

Urban legend has that the jap built ones are better
