Mitsubishi @ Detroit Auto Show
Mitsubishi @ Detroit Auto Show
Hey all, just got home from the Detroit Auto Show, lotsa fun. Mitsubishi was kinda disappointing, though, which saddened me since I'm such a big fan of their cars.
There was an Evo MR there, but it was nowhere near show quality (rust in the engine compartment and such). Looked like someone drove it for a few weeks then decided to park it on the show floor. It was the first time I sat in the Recaros, though, and I'm in love. Had a bone-stock Ralliart. Would've rather they towed around RRM's turbo Ralliart, as the stock one is boring when sitting next to a MR. The new Endeavor Ralliart was there, but they had it locked up and the hood and everything closed, so I couldn't look it over
All I could see was the RRM coilovers peeking out from the wheel well.
The '06 Eclipse was up on one of their turntables. It's a nice looking car, as long as you can tear your eyes away from it's enormously fat *** (it's HUGE!!!!) They also had some massive wheels on it, but with the stock sized rotors, which made the proportions look all wrong. Anyways, it'll draw some good attention towards Mitsu when it comes out.
Finally, the Raider, Mitsu's new truck. I rather liked it. The worst part is the front hood, how it wraps down into the grill, but that's a minor detail. It seems like a very nice truck overall, wouldn't mind having one

you know I went to the LA auto show last weekend mainly to see mitsu's lineup and to see the C6 ZO6. Its safe to say I was not let down on ither levels. The Ralliarts (galant, endevor) were not there but I liked everything else I saw. It was funny because they were right next to subi so the Evos and the Stis were kinda staring eachother down.
