I think the RSX is a great car and so is the Evo. Both have potential. But there is such a huge aftermarket support for Hondas and Acuras.

not to veer OT or anything, but spike TV has horrible award shows.

last year, it had its first video game show, and it gave "action game of the year" to true crime: streets of la OVER max payne 2.

same main idea: a more mainstream, almost cliched product wins over the more superior just to satisfy the little momma's boys for ratings.

Of course, more people must have voted for the RSX than the Evo or STi. It may have been a close race, who knows. But the Pickup truck category obviously didn't reflect which vehicle was most popular as far as units sold, since I've only seen one SRT10 Ram and thousands of F-150s (in michigan). In the trucks category, people voted for the most badass truck, which is what they should have done in the Tuner category too, but instead they voted for RSX because those guys probably think the Evo already gets too much attention, but they're wrong

firstly i like the rsx a lot. i was thinking about getting one over the evo. it has a great exterior, honda reliability, i love NA motors, decent interior... but i was turned off by the test drive. i actually had more fun in the civic si hatch. dont' ask me why, i don't know.. i just liked the feeling of an egg rolling down the street with soft *** suspension i guess

and i honestly don't give a crap about that show or that award, but i just want to interject for a second...

yeah, its NA high compression 2.0 is so great with its minimal gains from NA parts. mod for mod, Factory FI>Factory NA (displacement being equal)

oh wait...

and japanese parts for the evo probably outnumber the acura's as well in volume and quality.... and its loooong history undoubtedly produced more parts along the way and better tuning than its relatively new honda counterpart.

i guess i'll have to assume you mean FI cuz i don't think you're going to see many NA rsx "beasts." and how many FI kits are there for the rsx compared to the sti/evo? and if you're talking about handling, what's going to have the advantage, awd rally bred chassis or fwd glorified civic? not saying it's not possible to get the rsx to handle well--it obviously can with teams like realtime racing... but comparing the two is almost pointless when it comes to mods v mods

it's hilarious to see references to resale value when you're talking about any modded car. especially in relation to what you're describing as a "beast" or "tuner" car. but yes, it's a great value for what it is, i agree completely

no, neither is, you're right. i like the rsx a whole lot. but if you honestly feel it's a better tuner car, i don't know what to say.

yeah, we're elitist ******. what can you do, right?

anyhow, as far as tuning goes, i guess they were thinking 4 cylinder imports... cuz if there were no limit, i'm sure there are some porsche, viper, vette, muscle car owners out there that would argue that our cars shouldn't even be mentioned.
