bwahahaha!
quote from V8VENOM on the site!
"STI has so much more potential with 2.5 litre vs. 2.0 litre. The STI has a lower center of gravity flat four vs. the EVO's straight up inline 4.
I have yet to see an EVO (heavily modified or not) faster than my mildly modified STI. To add insult to injury the EVO's have to run some serious boost just to overcome the litre deficit -- EVO's are blowing up on track unless you bring along a dedicated tuner in your car to keep it from detonation."

these guys have no freakin idea what they are talkin about but you know what its not worth wasting the time or effort proving these guys wrong. like i say if it helps the subbie owners sleep at night, let them talk trash, the next morning they still have to deal with what they got
oh and no offence toward subbie owners this is just for the people that like to talk trash
(i also have 2.5 rs impreza turbocharged)

i apologize for the retard internet subie owners
you're right , 90% of them never even sat in a evo let alone drive one. hell half haven't even raced one. they look at what car and driver sez and go from there. i love both cars. i have driven an evo, great car. i hella want one parked next to the sti in the garage(i still love my car to
)
oh well, some people liek to make it almost like being racist, but with cars instead of people , they don't know what they are hating

Hey its my old site ..... when I used to own a WRX I visited it a lot, a lot of newbies show up there seeking answers. While some of the things they said are wrong 2.5L instead of 2L. There is some truth in what he is saying ... eg:
1. Yes flat 4 lowers the overall center of gravity of the car better for handling ....
2. Yes the WRX/STi comes with better F/R weight distribution compared to the EVO ....
3. Yes the WRX/STi have a better turning radius (something I really miss) compared to the EVO that sometimes feels like a minivan
I know, I know ... but despite all this, how come the EVO handle better ... simple better quicker steering ratio and a better tuned suspension stock!
Now on to power, in a perfect world I'ld choose the 2.5L STi block over the 2L EVO, but then again we have:
1. 2.5L semi-closed aluminum block vs a 2L close iron block ...
Ultimately the EVO block will be stronger (without internal mods) but I think a sleeved 2.5L STi block would be the way to go .... low end torque and high HP with a large turbo = lots of fun
But money doesn't grow on trees and I don't want to mod....
