I don't think it's rice to rebadge your car with it's JDM counterpart. Putting a GT-R on the USDM G35 would be. What about rebading an IS300 with Altezza badges or Aristo badges on a GS300/400. I like the Fairlady Z badge for the 350Z. I rebadged my Lancer with a 1996-2000 JDM Lancer badge and replaced the ES with a MMC one.

I hope this G35 coupe wasnt in PA, because my buddy out there has a G35 badged as a skyline, but then again he also has the Greddy TT kit to back it up a little. He also had at one point in time an NSX rebadged as a HONDA, not rice at all IMO. hm I have no badges on my EVO does that make me Ultimate anti rice guy, probably not, its my car Ill do what I want unless you want to start making my payments for me.

 

a NA RWD INFINITI g35 should NOT be labeled what it is NOT (a JDM skyline gt350) in any situation, UNLESS it has many jdm parts and is in the process of being converted to a jdm style car. Like on evos, its oka to have the UK/JDM evolution v/// trunk badge IMO, because it IS A EVOLUTION V///. BUT if someone had a 03 gsr and slapped MR or "fq300" badges, thatd be just the same as the g35. The WORST has tobe wanabe cars, ESPECAILLY regular lancers with evo badging, label it as it is, not what you want it to be!

 

I dont know about the gt350 part but a skyline is not a trim level like evolution is. A skyline is just a make of car, just like the lancer. There are all different kinds of skylines, just like lancers.

Everyone in the states thinks if its a skyline it must be 1000 HP AWD turbo.

 

The base model skyline in japan is almost exactly the same as the g35 we get here in the states. I went to the nissian dealer when I was in japan. I lived in japan for 4 years and skylines are everywhere. They are like the camaro or mustang of japan. Just an example guys. There are so many variations of the skyline in japan it not funny you can get it with almost any motor from n/a to single or twin turbo, rwd to awd 2 door or 4door. The gtr is a special car. I don't have an exact number but I'd put money down that in japan they make and sell more four door or n/a or single turbo skylines than they do gtr's. It just seem that everbody thinks the skylines is this super exotic but the majority of them are avg cars. I'm just saying a skyline a skyline just like a lancer a lancer. not all of them are gtr's or evo's. so calling a g35 a skyline gt 350 is exactly what it is a 2door skyline with a 3.5l engine which is not rice just the jdm name of the car.
