since im getting rid of the evo, im going to have to make the neon handle.. its a toss between evo owners and srt owners.. i own an evo so when i buy an srt i have to be humble, till i beat ya..

 

I've also noticed that (quite a few) BMW guys (base 3-series owners) are undereducated about cars. Ever seen a BMW commercial Look at my 318i zooming down the roads, much faster than a similarly priced car from Mitsubishi which can run circles around mine! Mine has more class than it! It's all based on values. Why do I like the Evo? That's simple, it's the best performance for the cheapest price. All the other cars appeal to something else (Z has looks, Bimmer has the name, SRT-4 has the price, Domestics appeal to your sense of patriotism, etc.) Thing is, I don't care about that stuff, I care about performance, something you can measure with a stopwatch. All those people have biases against the people with other values they took into consideration, and I don't want to be one of those guys. That is why I picked Honda, because they are the scapegoat

 

I second this...these guys usually don't know anything about their car and it isn't even all that fast if you ask me.

At least you're first in something! I should create a button with an SRT-4 and a mullet on it with the phrase "most hated sport compact ever" on it. Who knew creating a fast, affordable car would cause e-thuggin slow honda ricers to be able to afford fast cars to act like jackasses in.

I think it's an image thing. What do you think of when you see the price tag on an SRT-4? "Ooh, that's affordable," or "Ooh, that's for kids."

Actually, it's funny that you mention Camaro owners. Some really do think their V6 is fast. I want to kidnap those people and do evil Unit 731-esque experiments on them to see if anyone would notice or care that they went missing.

I have to say young SRT-4 owners that drive stock car and think they are the ****.

I had a roommate once that always swore that his Camaro would outrun my Honda (I'm a convert .... ) ..... well, he learned his lesson one night on the interstate. Stock Camaros don't have anything on a boosted Accord ..... I saw headlights ... he saw taillights .... and the cop that decided to pull him over instead of me saw the priceless look on his face and his drivers license.....

Many Bimmer drivers I know always use that excuse. From 318i's to M5's.

 

it's anyone who needs a nice/fast car to make up for the lack of one or more of the following: sense of humor, class, *****, game, wiener size, *****, girlfriend, brains, *****...did i mention *****?
i joke around with friends and co-workers about cars ALL the time. we basically bust each other's ***** for having one type of car or another, all in good humor.
ex: me-"so how's that pushrod in your chevy, old man, you're not getting any younger, is that a bald spot i see there?" co-worker-"blow up your 4-banger yet while racing a pushrod?" or...
me-"nice 328, too bad you have to take her to the mech every month and pay same as my monthly car finance...german piece of crap", co-worker-"what's that i hear? you have a thing that sprays your engine when it's hot?"
and in all cases we're just kidding around, knowing each car's potential. i think the cockiest owners are the ignorant ones who don't care about facts and only their egos and use their cars to make it seem like they have class, dignity, a life.
oh and i get cocky too, but mostly about the way i drive, not which car i'm in. (i like to tear through corners at max grip when there are no other cars around)

 

Well, first off I drive an SRT, I'm 23 and I can atleast say that I NEVER try to be cocky, or a dumb *** when it comes to racing and what car is better and what not.

I respect all your opinions. btw/ if I had to, I'd vote for some Acura/Hondas...

Well, from reading forums and stuff... I still say STis/Evos (and that bs about them being awesome cars so it's okay is a load of horse ****)... though, around here it's mostly BIG lifted trucks or Wranglers.... Too many Wranglers have tried to race me, and I have no idea why... but yeah, too many of "us" have too huge of egos.
