Question 05 Trade-In Value

I was wanting to trade my 2005 RSX auto base with cloth in for an 03 Evo at a dealer. It has 310 miles on it and its basically still new. I've had it for 4 months. How much of a trade-in value do you guys think i could get for my RSX towards the Evo? I would go by KBB but they dont have used 2005's yet. What do you guys think?

Thanks

It depends on how much you paid for it......also, u have to take into account that once u drive the car off the lot, it loses about 1/8-1/4 of its value, depending on the car.

310 miles in 4 months, and you're in Texas? How do you manage driving that little?

Ultra lows and it's an Acura. They seem to have great resale value but be prepared to take a hit. Depending on the miles on the 03 Evo, they too appear to have a really strong resale valvue. Alot of the guys selling their sub-20k mi Evo's for $23,000-$24,000 book for $27,000-$28,000 retail anyway. I was checking out a 03 Evo VIII with 27k mi just the other day and they wanted $29,999 for it! They also had a brand new 10 mile RR RS for like $29,580 or something like that. There's room to play but just be careful you don't get the shaft.

I really really want to buy one right now but I don't want to roll the negitive equity from my 02 Maxima into a new or used Evo. The book really stinks on the Maxima's. Normally I never buy new cars because of the depreciation but in this case I am leaning toward a new Evo so I know how it's been driven from day 1. That 10 mile RS mentioned above was taken straight to 70mph right out of the dealer parking lot by the salesman about 60 seconds after start up. When it was my turn I had much more respect. At least he short shifted at 5k but still, you don't do that with a brand new Evo!
