Almost all European cars are like that. As a matter of fact, doing normal maintenance is not that hard, you just need to remove a couple of the plastic panels and that should be it. In terms of modifying them, most German cars will have a noticeable improvement by just changing the chip, which is just a few screws awary (and of course, 5-6 days of down time of your car, unless you get a back up ECU)

I don't like the AT as well. However, Audi states that it's a revised Tiptronic with 6 spd...so it's should work ok with the RS6 buyers (typically in their 40's).

Just imagine the very same engine on the RS4 with the 6-spd MT tranny...

i love audi's and i am hoping to convince my father into buying the new S4 over the A6 that he wants.....by the way, the chrome mirrors are how they do it on all German S4's and the "rubber baby buggy bumpers" on the bottom just look down right cool.... I dont think there is a single fault with the S4's look and hopefully when my dad is impressed with audi, ill convince him to loan me some money to buy an audi coupe and turn it into an RS2 with 6-10 grand........no one and i mean no one will be able to beat me in that thing....

Hey lan, your 17 right? how the hell do you drive an audi TT?

The chrome mirrors are on all performance Audi models (RS4, RS6, S4, S6 and S3's...euro version of course)

The "rubber baby buggy bumpers" will be body color for the US version S4...mmm...Well, I guess an A6 2.7T would be more suitable for your dad since my mid-age buyer would want more room

BTW, "LanEvo" is 17, while I'm "Lan Evo" with the space...I'm 26 and worked for 3-4 years now...

As much as this new S4 is amazing, I am apting for the 2001 model in fall of this year. The V8 is going to be limited to a supercharger for aftermarket and will most likely be close to $9000USD if not more. I must admit though, its nice to see the OEM Recaro's on our shores. I had the benifit of sitting in the new b6 S4 this year at the Canadian International Auto Show, and the interior is awesome.

Even though the added displacement is great, and a little more HP is nice, the 2001 2.7T will spank this new S4 with the aid of a chip.

Just my two cents

I'm assuming there will be Twin-turbo powered RS4 down the road...imagine the RS6 engine in the S4 body..

Anyhow, if you're not not looking to over 400hp, I guess the new S4 will be able to offer more low end torque with added displacement. If your goal is to get north of 400hp, the previous gen S4 with an RS4 turbo upgrade should be able to acheive that feat
