a y-pipe welded after your dp that has a plate to toggle making the exhaust gasses to go thru the stock exhaust pipes or straight out from the other side of the Y to the open air.

I was wondering. And since the title says WRX Qs what's the engine code of a WRX? Is it EJ25 with a smaller turbo?

Alright, did a bit of research for you and from what i've read, I believe the EJ25 is used to discripe the 2.5L engine that Subaru makes. if this is true, the the WRX uses a EJ20 becuase it is a 2.0 engine. I've been looking for the USDM WRX engine code and belive it is EJ205. I have been told that the STi is a EJ257. Anyone that can help, feel free to chime in.

As the the second part of the quesion, the turbo is a bit larger and is helped with a larger TMIC, higher flowing injectors "pinks", and a slightly more powerful fuel pump.

Lastly, you did not hyjack my thread, it was dead for a while now. But all WRX questions are welcome here. Helps me learn too.

alright, a little more info. I know the STi used to be 2.0 and have found a link that might help you out a bit more. I'm not taking the time to make it a link cause I feel lazy right now so you have to copy and paste.

nasioc is definatly one of the better websites......also, the guys at fastwrx.com are always good if you buy parts from them (as far as advice and what not). They have a pretty decent tuning guide on their website.

cool cool. Thanks guys. I'll relay the info to my friend. He's getting a WRX soon and we were just wondering if the engines were close to JDM so we could build something *close* to the STi overseas.

if you want to make something close to a JDM STi, why not do an STi engine swap. Find a high mile wrx for a good price and drop in a JDM in it. Just a thought. groups has some engines in stock always if you are interested.

I like nasioc and clubWRX. Club dosen't get a ton of people or vendors but is a nice little place to do some research on.
