Ralliart. Good gas milage (even better with piggyback ECU), very good power for the price, and inexpensive. One can be bought new for under $18K OTD. Used ones are going for $12k. Plus, you'll get to stay in the Mitsu family.

I think the Eclipse would just disappoint, it's big and slow, Ralliart runs circles around it. Don't like Chevy. I'd worry about a used SRT-4. Used turbo cars make me nervous, especially a cheap one that some kid beat on.

Civic would be rock solid as far as price and reliability. Plus, huge selection of aftermarket wings and park benches.

im looking into a kia/hyundai/suzuki for my daily driver. good mileage, 10year 100,000 mileage warranty, less than $10,000 brand new.

but i may be differnt. i need a car for freeway driving. my girl goes to school 2 hours away, and im up there every weekend. so i need a car that i can put a lot of miles on without concern. im sick of driving my sartie into the ground. so thats what im looking at

Find a low mileage celica or interga. I have seen them near me for 12-14 with low mileage.

I wanted a cheap dailey driver and looked at a lot of cars and decided on a 05 new PT cruiser it gets 30mpg and I paid $12895 out the door with a 60k powertrain warrenty. 150hp with a 5 speed 125 top speed stock I installed a crazy sound system and that is it. There are not many new cars for under 13k with 150hp and as usable as a pt,the back seat are removable with a lift gate and it will tow 1000 pounds with a hitch. I tow my Honda trx450 4 wheeler ....
