Subaru...

SRT? wtf? lol.. Although its still way faster than my lancer, if someone wanted to trade me I'd say no effing way. Those things BLOW. The car feels like a piece of cardboard/rubbermaid on rolling wheels. They aren't going to last very long at all.. just like the rest of the neons. Quality = Poorest. Sorry bout that.. I've seen a srt4 in my area that already has rust developing.. I gatta get a picture of it once it gets into full swing of the typical chrystler product. Then I'll post it up here. Livin in the motor city is great, they just need to make better quality cars, not quantity. They make such crappy cars, the foreign automakers are outselling them in their own home town. Now they have to run their $8000 rebate specials just to get people to buy them, and they are still losing. They have so much overstock, they don't even have enough room on the lots for the new ones that are being pumped out.

Well, let's see. You live in NJ and it snows there. Get an SRT-4 and end up in a ditch, Get a WRX and not have to deal with insurace companies.

WRX!!!... subaru actually got better reliability ratings than Honda or Toyota. I was surprised myself when i found out. Check Out www.subdriven.com for more info. But just wait till fall and get an '06 wrx, they look really mean. Besides, the neons wil be discontinued for some crappy 5 door wagon.

Woh, I didn't even know that took any though. Dodge = Quality?? Dodge = Reliable? Half of those cars don't even start if they are parked over where I just spit or parked over a puddle.. WRX by FARRRRRRR.

The SRT-4 holds up pretty good. As far as domestics go Dodge is the only one I'd own because my SRT-4 was a great little car and my dad has had a Dodge Ram truck for 5 years now and still no problems or even rattles/squeaks.

Prolly has to do with where you live.. most Dodges/Chrysler (except jeep, those last-- excluding HEMI) here in Michigan only last about 4 good years, then they turn to pure junk. Engines wore out, panels rusted out, trannies blow, etc. Almost all my neighbors have switched to another brand. Usually Ford or Chevy though, most Detroiters doesn't necessarily like imports. But the SRT-4 just came out, so I don't think its fair yet to say it holds up pretty good, we'll see over time. It looks and feels just like all the other neons, so I suspect it to do the same as all them, sadly.

My friend has an SRT-4 and i must say, they're pretty quick. He's had it for about a year now and put over 20k miles on it and still not a single problem (except excessive front tire wear).

I've driven in a WRX and i was disappointed with the turbo lag. You gotta have your foot nailed to the floor to get the turbos to actually begin spooling.

Performance: SRT-4
Reliablity: WRX (maybe?)

Edit: BTW, i'm getting rid of my VR-4 for an SRT-4.

I would never buy a front wheel drive car for racing. I would take my chance with a used Evo. I would comb it over real close though.
