As the title reads the new 05 Saleen S281 SC. i was working the past couple of nights on patrol(cop) and i happended to see a new Saleen Mustang. I actually thought it was just the NA version but i was at Walmart last night checking out the magazines and noticed MM&FF the S281SC was on the cover. I read the article rated 400hp/420tq but put out on the dyno 390hp/387tq so its grossly underated. and all of this on just 3.5lbs of boost. thats darn near all motor. i believe it runs like mid 12's stock. Anyways the car runs like $47 msrp so i didnt actually expect to see one, but i checked and the one near me is SC. I mean with just a pulley change this car could do 450 whp easy. to pricey but still an awsome car glad i checked him out before i messed with him

 

What is the reasoning of only 3.5 lbs of boost?

 

i believe they said to keep the engine running cool and safe. if you ask me its so you can upgrade to 500 hp with just the change of a pulley

 

Next time you see him, pull him over and check out his car!

3.5? that 47k should pay for more than 3.5. i saw one on my way to nashville last week. very good looking car, the guy was driving it like it was made of glass. but the looks are good, very distinguishable, but i think it should be doing better than 12's stock and the price souldnt be for just nastalgia reasons. kinda lame, but good looking.
