yes, base WRX. i still think it's impressive because the extra price tag went into comfort and interior, so strip all that and it'll cost as much as wrx anyway. so R32 is in between wrx and evo/sti in performance, i say that's pretty good.

reliability of VW is a whole other can of worms though. german cars r no longer holding the same long lasting characteristics as they did back in the days of the first GTI.

 

Doesn't look very "stylish" when compared to the regular mk5, where as the mk4 R32 looks much more exciting than the plan 2.0 mk4.

But if the chrome was the color of the car, I'd probably really like the mk5's, Jetta's included.

 

The interior looks nice.

 

HAHA YEAH RIGHT. GERMANS REALLY DONT CARE ABOUT PERFORMANCE DO THEY, COUGH TWIN TURBO SUV PORSCHE, RS6, RS4, EVERY MERCEDES, EVERY BMW. O YEAH AND THE AUTOBAHN, NO PEOPLE DONT DRIVE FAST ON THAT. HAHA. U MIGHT WANT TO RECONSIDER UR THOUGHTS. VW NEEDS TO TAKE A DIFFERENT ROUTE. THEY ARE GOING FOR MORE OF A JAPENESSE LOOK WITH ALL THE FEEL AND QUALITY OF A GERMAN CAR. NOW BEING A FORMER VW GOLF 1.8T OWNER I KNOW HOW WELL BUILT THEY ARE. AND THIS NEW R32 IS NO EXCEPTION OTHER THAN THE LOOKS. PERSONALLY I DONT LIKE IT BUT HEY I HAVE ALREADY SAT IN THE NEW GTI'S AND GLI'S STRIGHT FROM GERMANY, AND SOME OF THEM WERE DONE UP NICELY SO I GUESS ONLY TIME WILL TELL. O YEAH ONE LAST THING, STRAP A SUPERCHAGER OR A TURBO ON A R32 AND U HAVE IT ALL. NUF SAID
